Set the price (£) and how long each treatment takes (minutes). Duration controls how much time the booking blocks out in the diary. Tap to remove a treatment.
Deposit per main treatment (booked online): £
Only the five main groups — Acrylics, BIAB, Gel polish, Manicure, Pedicure — add to the deposit. Every other category (French tips, Chrome, art, removals…) is an add-on and never adds extra deposit.
Set opening and closing times for each day, or mark a day as closed. These control which days and times customers can book.
Don't forget Google!
Changing the hours here updates this website only. It does not change the hours shown on Google when people search for the salon.
To update Google too:
1. On your phone, open the Google Maps app
2. Search Ri Nails Kings Norton
3. Tap Edit profile, then Hours

Upload photos of your nail work. These show on the home page so customers can see your style before booking. Tap a photo to remove it.
Work photos appear in “Our Work” and can be tagged to a technician (shown on their card under “Meet the team”). Salon photos appear in the “Step inside” section of the salon page.
Your day at a glance. Everything booked for today, in order.
When a day is full, customers can join a waitlist. If a slot frees up, you'll see who to call.
Period
Click any cell to set a tech’s working hours for that day — choose a start and end time, or mark it a day off. Each gold cell shows the shift the customer booking system will offer. A dot means part of the shift is blocked (lunch, appointment). Tick “Repeat every…” in the editor to set someone’s usual hours once — it then applies to every future week, any month or year. A pale underline means the day comes from that weekly pattern; click it to change just that one day.

Connect a shared database (free, ~10 min)

Step 6 — Lock it down (do this once connected)
Test mode lets anyone read everything and expires in 30 days. To secure it: in Firebase go to Realtime Database → Rules, delete what's there, paste the rules below, and press Publish. These rules let customers create bookings and check availability, but only a logged-in manager can read customer contact details or change the rota.
Step 7 — Create your manager account
In Firebase: Build → Authentication → Get started → Email/Password → Enable. Then Users → Add user, enter your email and a strong password. From then on, log in as manager using that email + password (the old shared password stops working once rules are published).
Once connected, all your current bookings are uploaded and every device stays in sync automatically.
⏰ Optional — automatic day-before reminders
The reminder emails in this app only send while someone has the site open. For reminders that send automatically every day whether or not anyone's looking, you (or a developer) can deploy a small scheduled function to Firebase. It's on Firebase's free tier for your volume. Ask for the function code — it's a short copy-paste deploy and I can provide it as a file.
Taking real deposits
The card form on the booking page is a placeholder — no money is taken yet. To collect real £10 deposits you have two easy routes: (1) generate a Stripe or SumUp payment link and include it in your confirmation email, or (2) add a small payment backend (Stripe Checkout). The simplest start is to take the deposit in person or by phone link until you're ready for full online payment.
